After booking a week’s stay in the Peak District, in my head I was imagining gorgeous sunrises and sunsets with heather in the foreground. What I got was a day of overcast skies and drizzle! It did force me to change my viewpoint and I found this mushroom below one of the falls at Wyming Brook. I waded into the water, adjusted my tripod as low as it would go and used a 6 stop filter to blur the water.

Jay, I photograph fungi but you know how to photograph their essences. A fragile cap mushroom may last a day, and you captured the movement of that blossom's 12 hours in a flash-beat for posterity. Thank you very much!
