This is a panorama from my trip to Big Bend last August. I took this near Panther Junction at the heart of Big Bend National Park.
You can see the Chisos Mountains at the bottom right of the image, where the galactic center of the milky way is.
It is a 22 image panorama (2 rows of 11 photos) each photo was shot for 25 seconds, ISO 8000, f/2.8 at 14mm with a Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 on a Nikon D750; then merged using Hugin for mac and edited in Photoshop and Lightroom.
