...Sure, i could have changed the colors, put a nice sharp layer of me in the foreground......maybe i will in the future....i have in other photos....but i like the simplicity here....the authenticity....the realness....the contrasting colors..........
............i drove out 30 or so miles from the city...wound up going down a deserted, beaten up, country road....concerned if my old truck would quit on me..
.....Worried i would get shot at by a farmer, or if his big ole country dog would sneak up on me (trust me, all that's a real thing out here)...
....... Listening to the howl of coyotes (which was nice, but made it a little spooky lol) ..
......Heck, there might be some zombies out driving around...there's a photo op!! lol
......A New Moon and the first semi-clear night... it has been rainy and overcast every single night ....like for 3 weeks already... and more rain on the horizon.....
.....With the corona virus lurking around, and many states on lock down, Oklahoma might be next...Heck, i might not ever get out of this city to get some starry night shot...who knows? They might lock down the city in the next day or so.....
.... Now might be my only chance!! Drifting clouds or not, I'm going!!
.........So it was my first night out, finally having a go at this astronomy and light painting thing.... i will say, i made the best of it and put my worries away in a bag, this is shot with a 3.5 aperture kit lens at 15 seconds.....on a tripod i bought at a second hand store.......Best gear? Not by today's standards......would be nice...but it's not required to get a few shots of some stars....
.....So now i have a few templates to create my own photo's with night skies...sure, i will be going out to get more shots of the night sky, but, it could be a while with so many states with curfews and such.

Yes the fun starts when the lights go out! That little box lets you see to Infinity and Beyond for the roof is off and the little lights above shine to your heart. Alone in the dark but see all!!!
