on the original stone foundation.
The legend of the Egg Hill Church says that a service was held on Halloween night in the late 1800s. The minister went crazy and poisoned the communion wine. The entire congregation, adults and children, all died that night from the toxins. He then carried the members of the Church outside and buried them there in the Cemetery. Afterwards he hung himself in the bell tower. Some say the Church is still haunted by those who lost their lives that night, and that screams from the victims can be heard. It seemed pretty peaceful there to me...
