I have thought about this particular shot at Jellyfish lake in Palau for many years. The lake has been closed the past few years, including my visit last year due to a massive adult jelly die off due to both the El Nino and La Nina cycles.
Fortunately the lake is now open and there are millions of healthy adult Golden jellyfish bouncing around.
For this shot I needed a bright sunny day and after some trial and error shots, I was able to find this grapefruit sized jelly away from the clusters and put the sun directly behind it creating this radiating sunbeam effect.
