One of the most photogenic waterfalls in the world, and the day I get to shoot it were the worst conditions imaginable. Near dark, blowing rain, tour buses unloading piles of people. For the low light, I needed long exposure, but the rain and blowing spray would not allow it. This is the best I could manage.

I was taking pics of some pronghorn when this buck noticed me mid-chew then turned and ran.

The ice from Jokulsarlon bay wash up on the black sand beaches as gorgeous polished pieces.

Some of the more unique features near Vestrahorn are the grass covered black sand dunes. They make an excellent foreground.
