Well Done! Very moving image. How did you get the ocean so silky and still have such a sharp outline on the paddle boarder?

i'm a self -taught photographer- I guess most of us are.-but all I've been working with is just my Canon Power Shot SX 1 !! hahaha That's ALL the photography equipment I own. I don't even own a tripod yet, so I am hoping to win something in at least one of these challenges. I won't even attempt to enter a contest because there are far too many professionals and we all compete against each other.
Well, if you have any advice for me, I'm all ears. I love all of your work, ESPECIALLY this photo. How I wish I could step into this photo and meditate...what a serene and peaceful photo!
I'm sure you've heard this before, but there is something very special about your photography. Most of your work has a kind of 'energy' that just pulls me in. The "mood" or essence of who you are speaks through your work. It's beautiful--you are certainly a huge talent. I am so honored you looked through my photography. My husband died recently (there are about three of him in my photos--one of him sleeping, shaving, etc) so I haven't been doing anything, not going on ViewBug --much less taking photos.
But I had to stop and say hello. I think in the three years or so I've been a Viewbug member, I've only contacted three photographers and you're one of them! Sorry for rambling....
