This photo is of brown dirt dried up and rolled up into lumps on an old dirt road in the high desert countryside of New Mexico. The amount of clay and silt must be perfect to get enough water and air agitation to form these wonderful textured shapes. To my knowledge I have never seen a better or more pretty grouping of desiccated mud.
