I was Walking the Static line of the 'Thunder over Michigan' air show early in the morning and took this picture of a beautiful Skyraider facing into the sun. I almost deleted it on the spot as it was extremely blown out, but I liked the composition and thought I would see what could be done with it on the computer. I was very pleased with the detail I was able to pull out. Thankfully I always shoot in RAW, if this had been taken in JPEG it would have ended up in the trash bin!

Excellent details, look and feel to this photo it has an almost vintage feel to it. The way you cropped it works well for this photo it helps in the story of the photograph, well done!

I love these old planes. Great composition and POV with the Skyraider. Beautiful use of light, shadows and angles. The exceptional detail in the folded right wing really helps give the story picture life. Well done!

Such an amazing machine! I didn't know the wings could fold with a full payload and the composition is beautiful too! Very well photographed.
