A terrific shot. The sunset and building with sails? really work well.

Thanks. The Windmills of Oia? The lighting effect of this photograph is what draws my attention.

I love the warmth of the light in this photograph and the contrast of light and shadow. Excellent!

Much thanks for the judges and voters who granted me the "People's Choice" award for the "Night Life Photo Contest." Much thanks to those who have granted peer awards, comments, and likes. I must say, this photograph took a lot of work because I had to run from kilometers away to find the last minutes of Blue Hour, find the only available spot without people blocking the view, setup, and take the photographs.

I might as well go and hang up the camera now or at the very least never go to Santorini, I coudn't even think of getting anywhere near this perfection.

This image is a stack of three merged in Photomatix pro exported to Lightroom for final processing, using photographic preset in Photomatix Pro. ISO was 800. Focal length was F8. Lens was set at 22mm to avoid capturing bystanders right next to me. manual focusing through live view. One image was +2 step 8 seconds. One image was -2 step 1/2 second. And the no exposure compensation image was 1.5 seconds. I used ISO 800 to limit noise and F8 to capture as much depth as possible. I also focused towards center of the image were it was mid point of foreground and background.
