I long for the day I can see and capture a moment like this. I'm in highly light polluted area.

The milky way is shining through the lake. You captured a lot of lights which is perfect in night time photography. Details are vivid in the stars and even in the lake. Spectacular in your composition. The water looks silky because you have the 30 seconds exposure. For me to capture this moment is a Diamond Award!

Wow, such a wonderful photo. To have the opportunity to photograph something as amazing as that, you certainly didn't waste it. But just one little critique, I notice my eyes move focus away from the main subject and towards the foreground, so what I recommend doing is tilting the camera higher upwards and that will move the attention away from the foreground.

I think there is no problem with the foreground. It is part of the lake. The Milky Way and the lake are the subjects here. Very phenomenal. Voted Image of the month Vol 3

Gigi, this is simply STUNING!! I've been to Crater Lake, but always thought what an amazing place it would be at sunrise and on a beautiful night with the stars in plain view, as though you could touch them. In this photo you have captured the beauty of the destination, the lake the sky and the amazing beauty of our country and the Earth!! Love this photo!

The remarkable beauty of nature. You got it right, the milky way is really breathtakingly sharp and detailed, the Crater's Lake is so untroubled and the blue-sh color of little touch of Pink is really a perfect touch of this image.
