When I planned my trek out onto these salt flats to shoot a picture, I imagined they would be more solid than they were. It was hard walking because it was pretty mushy. My feet were big balls of mud before I was done.

I love this. Death Valley, right? I am enjoying your images from there and southern Utah very much. I just returned from my first photographic foray into DV and had a blast. I love the moodiness in this one, and especially the footsteps leading out into.....? Makes it stand out

Yes, Death Valley. The lowest place in North America, 282 feet below sea level. It was about a 3-mile walk in, and mushy, hence the footprints.
