For the first time in my life I had to let someone know I was going to do a difficult hike and to call help if I wouldn’t make it back!
Reflection Canyon is a strenuous 30km hike in the backcountry of Utah that takes you through slot canyons, climbing up and down shifty sandstones and traversing rugged terrains and ravines.
There is no trail to follow and I had to navigate with a gps, the temperatures above 40C and the total absence of shade made me drink more water than I thought, I did the last part of the trail sipping water hoping to get soon to my car!
When I got to the end I threw in the ground my sleeping pad and rest for about 2 hours, I was exhausted!!
In the whole time I was there I haven’t seen anyone around, I was so far away from everything , I’m really glad I’ve make it alive and can tell this story!
It was an incredible adventure to an incredible place.
