No idea what bird this is, but he was a good sport so I should go back to the zoo and take some more shots. Background effect is actually the mesh cage. Bird was close to front and not scared, so I positioned the lens right onto the mesh and he was very curious as I snapped away. This shot is cropped with a very minor contrast bump.
