During late Fall in Yosemite Nat'l Park, a storm warning was issued and the visitors evacuated in order to avoid the dense fog and heavy snowfall. Myself and a couple friends/fellow photographers decided to stick around the valley a while longer to take advantage of the eerily quiet and empty park. A half an hour later, the surrounding fog turned into a misty wall of indigo blue while the ominous glow from the tunnel lights crept out and reflected off of the wet road. This is not the type of composition I typically set out for as I gravitate to nature without manmade elements. However, the feeling I get when I look at this photo allows me keep the memory of an adventure that was just as amazing as it was haunting, alive and appreciated.
