Badwater Basin at Night

"After all the Jacks are in there boxes, and the clowns have all gone to bed..." (Jimi Hendrix). This is Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park. The lowest point in North America, also the lowest architectural structure is this wooden boardwalk. It was extremely dark that last day of Nov 2015. And it was cold. To light paint the foreground and path, I used a mini-maglite. It's all I had at the time. It was a very long exposure about two 5 min shots at ISO 400, f/4.
