My brother was getting a wet shave and was very nervous, effectively putting his well-being in someone else's hands made him feel vulnerable especially being in such an exposed position. The barber had such kind eyes and was very reassuring, there was a sense of trust and sincerity in him which is not often found in this day and age. This I felt, was a moment of tenderness and needed to be captured, there is a sense of danger but also security in the image which is refreshing. An abstract look on the subject of "tenderness".
