A wonderful example of tight cropping in your composition. Bright, vibrant colors and contrasting lines (angular, circular) and light (very bright to shadow) are nicely balanced.

You know what it is about this shot? The colors are happy. That sounds absurdly simple, but the effect is not. You tuned in on a bright color palette which is uplifting; when combined with the associations we tend to have with bicycles (play, youth, motion, speed), your viewers feel happier and freer.

Thank you for that! I have often wondered what it was about this photo that people liked because I think the saturation and contrast is to heavy and I’ve never loved this image so when people like it I’m like...hmmmm ok. 😁 Having your perspective helps me understand why some really like it.
