Driving from Tekapo to Christchurch in New Zealand we stumbled upon Three Creeks Service Station and other buildings/vehicles and machinery all stuck in the 50's. Odd little place yet quaint and fascinating and certainly worthy of a photo or 30! The display is at Burkes Pass and one of the unplanned and unknown stops...that is until one just happens to be passing :)

I wanna go! Did you do any editing on this shot? The clouds, tone, make it special. Loe the mood. So were there people around? Was it a Museum of sorts?

I have played with the colour, I tried to give the scene a more rustic look. It was quite overcast so the clouds just came with the scene! Yeah, it was like an outdoor museum/display that we stumbled upon early in the morning, so very few people around.

Great picture, has any one else noticed the propped up car door with the Gas Monkey logo on the side? I only mention it because, "Gas Monkey Garage" from my favourite TV program; and it's from America
