Wowsa. This is one of my favorite b&w images I have seen. Camping in that cabin would be a dream come true. I love the contrast, as so many have said!

Thanks Jonesy. And if you want it that badly, just go for it! Zermatt, Switserland

Really beautiful shot, perfect composition and contrast, Matterhorn is probably the most attractive mountain of the Alps ! Congratulations !

Thanks Woodstock . The exact location? That's rather difficult. I don't have GPS coördinates on my camera. I just remember it's close to Zermatt and to the west.

Magnificent study of one of the most majestic views I've ever seen. Somehow in Zermatt the Matterhorn doesn't immediately strike you as being the height and grandeur it really is - but get out into the landscape and you're surprised by it at every turn. You have brilliantly captured it - (would be my winner in the Majestic Mountains Contest by miles !!!)

Thanks Kawaracer. The highlights in the sun are close to burnt out, but are not. If I lowered the brightness on these parts, the magic was lost. So I kept them in :-)

I think we'd all love to hear the story behind this photo: how you got to the location, time of year, etc. This is superb both in composition and technique!
