I walked about a mile across the sand dunes to reach this beautiful site called Deadvlei in Namibia. At sunset, the shadows move across the clay field and the sun turns the sand dunes bright orange. Some of the trees here have been dead for 1000 years, but are not decaying because of the arid conditions.
