one question, what filter are you using in post that creates the subdued colors? I see it often, and am very curious! Thanks!

Hi Tawnee, in photoshop I mostly use curves,selective colour and Hue Saturation adjustment layers to control my colours. Also sometimes I change it further in Lightroom at times using the HSL (hue saturation luminosity) sliders. With the blue flowers on the right of the picture they are a bit lighter because of the slight flare I put in photoshop. Also you can give photos that slight matte by adjusting the bottom left point of the Curves adjustment layer upwards slightly. I hope that answers your question :)
