A photo I retouched of my Dad at Army barracks, before being shipped overseas in WWII, with a stray dog that he adopted. In the 3rd Infantry Division, a translator for his battalion (he was fluent in French, German and Italian), and our family was blessed to have him survive 3 beachfront invasions (North Africa, Sicily, Anzio). He was injured in combat in Anzio and after a lengthy hospital recovery he was assigned desk duty and then 6 months later sent back home. Truly an incredible man and an incredible father.
