Taken from the bridge that leads to the footpath that borders high above the banks of the ' Inland Sea ' , a tidal River estuary , which ebbs and flows into the basin of my village of Llanfachraeth on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK.
The Styx series of photographs is taken during the blue hour during various seasons and weather conditions , all of them are named after Rivers of Greek and Roman myth that relate to periods of stillness , sleep or forgetfulness , as the water in these images looks perfectly silent and still , as though in a deep slumber , which belies the movement underneath the surface. Dusk is the only time this stretch of water looks completely still even when the tide can be in full flow or on the turn. Creative Water Landscape Photography
