I called my colleagues I 'd be 10 min. later at work to help this young deer.
Slowly I approached the young animal and thinking it might run away, I decided to to take this photo with my mobile. I used it as I did not have a camera with me.
To my surprise it stayed calm and did not move.
When I was able to stroke it's head I tried to lift her up very gentle... I could not see any wounds or it being hit somewhere.
So I decided to pick the lovely animal up and decided to go and look for help at a nearby house - after cycling to three houses, I at last found someone home and willing to phone an animal sanctuary or vet.
What we did see was a couple of 'ticks' (teek in flemish) clinging on to the fur.
I 'll go back and have a listen what happened to my friend.
Thank you for reading - sometimes a photo needs a story or is a story itself.
