Abstract Art Nature Landscape Photography. Taken after heavy rains flooded the usually arid dune system that weaves between the forest and the sea at Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. This image was taken during winter with an early sunset turning into twilight , the high conifers towering in front of the composition causing a dark and variable light source in the foreground whilst the Snowdonia Mountain Range in the far distance is exentuated because of the direction of the last light. The Photograph was taken from ground level at a sharp angle in order to catch as much available light reflected on the water and trunk of the lone tree silhouette as well as creating an interesting and unique perspective. Exposure time increased the richness of saturated colour as well as an alteration of the white balance thus using both natural manipulation techniques and local knowledge of the environment to produce the results I desired without post processing. Still I don't feel that I could do the beauty of nature's art justice on this particular day , a rare occasion , when the sky was clear and sunny on the shortest day of the year creating a rarely seen climate based phenomena . Landscape and water composition.
