Found on Bourke Street Melbourne on 30 July 2016. Shot these guys for over 90 minutes and they never moved a bit, except for the guy holding up the Peace Sign. He would move from time-to-time to collect the bills from the busking hat in the front and to interact with the crowd gathered. In the time I was there he must have collected $500 easily from the donations made. Then I moved on to capture more photos up Swanston Street, so who knows what their taking was after that? Anyway, the main subjects for this photo are the women standing totally still by the passing tram on Bourke Street (outside of Myer - in the Rule of Thirds positions), looking on in bewilderment (are these guys for real they thought?? Yes they were, and very talented . . . at coming up with a good idea for extracting money from the public passers-by. Very clever!). Shot at 1/3 Second @ f22. Always something happening in Melbourne.

Well no, actually their whole schtick is to depict absolutely nothing but to stand perfectly still for hours and hours. Now that takes talent, especially for the guy looking up. Must be incredible neck strain.

P.S. An Australian Stockman is a person who looks after livestock on a large property known as a station. Stations can be huge, thousands of acres . . .

. . . sometimes so huge they are bigger than Belgium. So these "Stone Stockmen" are aiming to dress the same, but like statues they aren't meant to move.
