This photo was taken back in 2000 when I went with my Grandfather to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. It's one memory I cling on to. The Polar Bears were just crossing the lake and came right up to our Tundra Buggy. It is supposedly rare to see a mother Polar Bear with 2 cubs.
I don't think too many people understand the significance of this picture nowadays. This was taken with a 35mm Blacks BX7000 Camera. Blacks is a defunct business, we've lost Blacks and it's now a Collectors Item. The Camera still works and I still have it. The film Industry has been hit hard and rarely do you see film used anymore; DSLR and Digital Cameras have all become the rage - even Cell Phones - but not film. It's a dying breed. So cherish this pic.
