Carvana is known in the USA for its glass car "vending machines," but VW beat them to that idea many years ago. This image is from a tour inside one of the vertical storage towers at the VW Group's Autostadt in Wolfsburg, Germany. New cars roll off the factory floor and are robotically lifted and "parked" here for customers who collect their new ride onsite.
