While hiking we came upon an abandoned airplane on the beach. The pilot and his passenger made an emergency landing on an isolated beach in Point Reyes CA. Turned out it was a gauge malfunction so the plane could have still flown.
The plane which was a replica of a WW 2 aircraft could not take off in the sand and had to be broken down and transported out by a four wheel drive truck.

Canna in bloom

Mimicking the shapes and color of the dried grass
was a wow for me.

These two were part of a huge population of Ravens and Crows that have become the dominant birds in our neighborhood.
