For this exclusive photo contest we invited you to share your most intriguing shots showing rural decay with chances to win a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 macro lens and more. Whether abandoned structures or objects left behind, show us your inspiration on how you capture your feelings when you encounter decay. Usually these places all carry a kind of heavy sadness imposed upon visitors, show us how you capture them.
A special thanks to friend and professional photographer Jason Matias for his collaboration as a guest judge. Matias is an internationally published photographer who sells his fine art landscapes to clients and collectors around the world. Through mindfulness and introspection he has narrowed his creative expression to an idea he calls “Comfortable Isolation.” He finds inspiration from the great painters of the Renaissance, Hudson Valley, and American Southwest movements and his goal is to blur the lines between photography and art.
