A special thanks to our friend and professional photographer Gianluca Micheletti for his collaboration as a guest judge in this photo contest. Gianluca Micheletti is a professional photographer based in Italy. He studied at the Italian Institute of Photography in Milan and is currently engaged in still life photography, corporate photography and reportage. Fascinated by existential dynamics, he develops personal projects in research and conceptual photography.

"I thought about it a lot if I put this picture in first place but it is undoubtedly my favorite. The strength of this shot lies in the strong contrast evoked by the photo, the expressions of the faces betray what is expected of the couple on their wedding day and the place and the light darken the atmosphere more. If you go over the first reading of the photograph and go deeper, I read the bride's arrival as holding the hand of the partner to join two areas and create something bigger and stronger. It is an excellent metaphor of life where the life of a couple will help to overcome even the dark moments. Excellent choice of location, composition and tones." - Gianluca Micheletti
