The Germans have a word for that particular strong desire or impulse to travel and explore the world. The word is wanderlust - the lust to wander. This European word describes exactly how we, the ViewBug team, feel when we are looking at Richard Mark Calizo’s (RichardMark-photography) photos. There’s a pulling effect to Calizo’s images and we feel the strong desire to walk out of the office door and jump on the next airplane, train or boat to a destination far away from home. Do you share the same feeling as us?

Tell us a bit about yourself, how do you describe your photography style?
My Name is Richard Mark Calizo and I am a Landscape Photographer living in Banff National Park, Alberta Canada. Photography was my first love. In 2009 I had a learning/professional session with a professional photographer and I started taking unique shots and it became my favorite hobby. It was as late as 2014 when I realized that I found my true love and I become more passionate and dedicated to shooting nature. This is maybe because I live in the place where I am surrounded by the beauty of it.

Right now I want to start my journey as a serious Landscape Photographer. I describe my style as fine landscape art or nature photography. Also, I always try to take advantage of the technologies to make a better image.

Please share one of your favorite photos with us with a short tutorial:
One of my favorite photos is "Lake Louise" that I took in Lake Louise one early morning with the beautiful sunrise. I just went there and set up my camera and were excited to see what I could shoot. I used my Nikon D800 with wide lens filters, with tripod and shutter remote. I’ve used Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom to start with and then I finished it off with Adobe Photoshop for a final touch.
