7 things every photographer should do to improve their images:

1. Shoot, shoot and then shoot some more. Like anything else, your photography will improve with practice.

2. Soak up inspiration. Look at lots of other photographer's work, it will give you inspiration and help you find your own style.

3. Be critical of your own work. Imagine what somebody else would see when they look at your image, what are its strengths and weaknesses. What could you do better next time?

4. Open your eyes.Beauty can be found in the most mundane and unexpected places, you just need to see it.

5. Don't get too hung up on equipment. An expensive camera won't take a better photograph than a cheap one, if its a dull image, it will just be a much higher resolution dull image. It's the photographer that matters.

6. Visit your favorite location multiple times. Visit your favorite locations at different times of the day and year, you'll be amazed at how much the changes in light affect them.

7. Get your feelings into your image. When you are on location, there are sounds and smells, the sun on your face or the cold in your fingers which all affect how you're viewing the landscape, but none of this shows in a photograph. Think about how you can get those other feelings into your image.
