Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a home Studio, in the city of Rostov-on-don, Russia. Model posing near the mirror stylist-makeup artist.

Time

This photo was taken on January 19, 2014 in 21 hours and 40 minutes. After a five-hour photo shoot.

Lighting

The Studio was completely turned off all the lights. Only used the soft box 60x60 with external flash.

Equipment

Canon EOS 50D, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Canon Speedlite 580EX. PocketWizard FlexTT5. Soft box 60x60. Stand for softbox.

Inspiration

This picture was taken the last of the whole shoot, which lasted five hours. Nastya this time already very tired. And then seemed to convey the mood, emotions and feelings of the model.

Editing

Photoshop. Color correction and light correction. Small retouching of the skin.

In my camera bag

It all depends on what and where will be photographing. I recently switched from the Canon system to the Nikon system. Therefore, to talk about their equipment in full can not )) But before, with Canon, I have in the bag was the following equipment: Camera Canon 50D, lenses 50mm, 85mm and a 24-105 mm Canon 580EX Flash. Batteries, memory cards, cleaning products for lenses. Lying in the car tripod, soft-box, reflector 80 cm.

Feedback

I think that the most important thing in portrait photography is to show feelings, emotions, mood and eyes! Talk to the models before shooting. Try to learn more about their Hobbies, about their lives. Manage to unleash them on the set. Talk to them while shooting. Be confident. Don't show them your doubts, praise them in the process of shooting! Tell me what and how should be changed in the selected position. Create a relaxed atmosphere between you and the model! And then You will get beautiful pictures ))
