gotta love the big world inside of small things! This is a blueberry right? or am I imagining this to be a blueberry? For me, I really like how the reflection is not something I noticed at first, but once I saw it, I almost liked the reflection better than the real object. Great shot!

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home kitchen.

Time

This photo was taken in the evening.

Lighting

I used soft box and ambient light. The soft box allowed me to get the texture of the inside and outside of the blueberry.

Equipment

I used my D7100, 70-300mm Nikkor lense, tube extenders, and neewer flash trigger.

Inspiration

I had been shopping earlier in the day and knew I wanted to photograph a kiwi. My son wanted bluberries for desert so I bought a package. After dinner we were prepping them to eat and there were a few that just stood out. So, I decided to do an impromptu photo shoot.

Editing

I did do some post processing in Photoshop CS5. I added contrast, burned the seeds, and dodged the inner part of the fruit to be sure the texture was enhanced.

In my camera bag

It really depends on where I am shooting. If it is like this in my home then I have simple necessities micro fiber cloth, tube extenders, backup lense, and a fill flash. Nothing to extravagant just the necessities.

Feedback

Keep an open mind always be looking for things that inspire you. You can achieve great Macro with inexpensive equipment. You do not need a dedicated lense. Keep shooting you will get there.
