Location
This image was taken by me in Kanha National Park, India in December 2015Time
This was around 7am in the morning.Lighting
When we first saw him approaching us form a distance, light was very low, and there was some dust in the air, so i had to push the ISO up. The Tiger then went into the bush, and came out after almost an hour, and walked behind us, at that time this image was taken, light was low, but sun was out, there was a bit of golden light at this time.Equipment
No flash, No tripod, this was handheld, Canon 5D Mark 3, with a 70-200mm lens at F4Inspiration
I just love Tigers, do Tiger safaris regularly in all the key Tiger reserves of India hence this image.Editing
Very little, just improved the light, and sharpening a bit.In my camera bag
usually i carry Canon 1DX with a 300mm f2.8 lens, and also a Canon 5D Mark3 with a 70-200mm f2.8. Also keep a 24-105mm F4 lensFeedback
I just love to take Tiger head on shots. The key is to go as low as possible in the vehicle and take the shot to get the eye contact at the right level and a bit of bokeh as well.
