Location
This photograph was taken on Easter Island, on our recent trip to Chile.Time
We were on a day trip to view the statues of Easter Island, just after lunch I saw a few wild horses, so went over to take a few shots of themLighting
The day was bright but not too sunny, with reasonable cloud cover, so not too many contrast problems.Equipment
It was shot with a Canon 5D Mk3, using a 70-200mm f2.8 lens at 100mm, 100 ISO. f5 @ 1/320th secInspiration
The two horses were part of a small herd and they were posed perfectly for the shot.Editing
I always shoot raw, and process the raw file into Photoshop tifs using Adobe Lightroom. making any adjustments I think are necessary. Post processing was minimal, just a little exposure and saturation adjustments. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 5D Mk3, with a 16-35mm f2.8, a 24-70mm f2.8 and a 70-200mm f2.8. I have several memory cards, a spare battery, an electric cable release and a tripod.Feedback
I had to approach the horses quite slowly and carefully, so as not to spook them. then took my time looking for the best views to shoot.
