It reminds me of 'Back to the Future 3' It doesn't have ZZ Top, but the stage is set. #geoff

Location
This photo was taken at the Grand Chancellor Palm Cove. Under the glorious fig tree deck.Time
I remember my clients really wanted this fig tree all lit up in it's glory . We waited till after the reception dinner ( everyone needed a break after a long day of shooting). It was approx 8pm when we headed over to the fig tree, stumbling in the dark to find the on switch. The lights make this old tree so majestic.Lighting
To capture lighting in the evening one must always have a tripod. Absolutely no flash off the camera. I often have a helper holding a hand held video light from an angle to me, and aimed at the subjects faces.Equipment
Canon 5D mark ii , 24mm - 70 mm Canon L series. Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
I had previously taken a photo of a young couple having dinner on twilight under this tree . Once I posted that photo on line it went viral. Even the Grand Chancellor was using it in all their advertising. I often hope to capture this tree again.Editing
Post processing is simple in Lightroom, I really only enhance the contrast for depth. In my camera bag
I'm a Canon girl so I have 2 x bodies ( mark ii & iii), 2 x flashes ( canon ) . 3-4 lenses , All canon - 24-70 mm L series ( my work horse) , 70-200mm L series. Canon 85mm prime 1.2 ( for art photos ) , 100mm Canon macro lens. and Lots of spare batteries.Feedback
It's best to have a helper to capture a night shot like this . I usually grab one of my clients friends. They are usually happy to hold a video light . In this picture I also had the friend throw up the Brides veil when I yelled 'Now" , then they ran out the shot. I also asked the Bride and Groom to stand very still , as I had my lens open for 5 seconds and the aperture set at 2.8 for maximum light.
