Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at a Tulip farm in Northern California.

Time

I took this photo at about 11:00 AM.

Lighting

Everyone know that shooting close to noon on a sunny day will always produce harsh shadows on your pictures. I tried to find the right position so that natural light would work in my favor and by hiding the shadows behind the object. In this case I wanted to hide the shadow cast by the wheel so that it would blend in the wooden wall.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D600 Camera.

Inspiration

The texture of the time worn wheel made me think how long it had to be exposed to the elements in nature to become picture perfect.

Editing

Yes, I processed the image in Photoshop and utilized various effects and performed tweaks to achieve this look.
