Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture of my friend Ella during a school field trip. I was sitting on the school bus when I looked behind me and saw Ella staring out the window. I instantly snapped the picture.

Time

This photo was taken during magic hour as the sun was setting. The sunlight filtering through the window cast a soft glow on her skin which created the unique mood in this photograph.

Lighting

The lighting was natural sunlight.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon EOS Rebel T3. No other equipment was involved.

Inspiration

Ella's facial expression and the light through the window caught my attention. Ella did not know I was taking the picture. She inspired me by just being herself.

Editing

This photo is completely raw and unedited.

In my camera bag

I am an amateur photographer so all I have is my one Canon EOS Rebel T3.

Feedback

I am a big fan of raw and candid shots. I think that it is important to portray the person behind the picture. I feel that people can connect more to the picture if it is real and relatable. I always try to capture my subject in a way that they are portrayed correctly.
