I had to do another editing due to the aspect ratio. I wanted to have it in 3:2 instead of the former 4:3 to increase the feeling of a wide landscape and to show more of the scenery.
Doing this, I decided to give the whole picture a warmer look with increased red tones and a more adjusted color balance.

Fun Editing. I would love to learn. What would you suggest to learn about adding light and color etc to photos?

Location
I took this photo a few hundred meters far from my home. I am living quite rural, so I am pretty lucky to have such a scenery in front of my door. Depending on the season, there is always diversity, as the fields have different things growing during the year.Time
This was in the golden hour, around 30 minutes before the sun was gone. Due to the incoming autumn, the light was pretty warm with a very wide colored sky. So, to sum it up: the perfect time for taking landscape photos.Lighting
As the sun was shining directly into the lens, the dynamic range was a bit too much for my Lumix G6, so I decided to do 2 exposures. One underexposed to keep the structure in the sky, clouds and sun. The second one overexposed to keep the details of the foreground, the corn field, the ground, the trees, etc. An overexposure of the sun also leads to brighter sun rays, which are coming through the hanging tire to the ground.Equipment
For this picture I have used my Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6 with the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm (equals to 28-280mm) f3.5-5.6 lens, together with a circular polarizing filter. I used a tripod, because I had to do two exposures.Inspiration
At this time of the year, which is full of awesome sunsets, I observe the sky and sun every evening when coming home from work. As I am living in the 3rd floor in a house between fields, I have quite a good overview about the whole area lighted by the sun. Initially this picture was not planned. I saw the sky and thought that I could take some pictures of the sun behind a mostly flat field, so I took the cam and the tripod and walked to a place where I could get such a photo. When I passed by the swing, I stopped and checked the angle of the sun to the tire and took this photo - BEST. DECISION. EVER!Editing
The post-processing was pretty sophisticated. At first I merged the two exposures to an HDR with very moderate settings, just to increase the dynamic range. Then I did some retouch to parts that have disturbed the rural scenery, like a street sign, a power pole, heavy sun flares and some smaller things like stones. In terms of colors I have played a little with the color balance and saturation. In my camera bag
Depending on what I plan I have my Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6 camera, the 14-140mm lens I took this photo with, the Panasonic Lumix 42.5 f1.7 lense, the tripod and filters.Feedback
Go outside and train your eye for details. This scene was random and I was a little lucky to see it. Always be aware of the environment and make use of the daytime. Depending on the mood you want to create with your photo, the best times are the golden hours at sunrise and sunset and the blue hours. Of course you can also use the bright daylight, but there you have to be very careful with your POV and the angle between camera, scene and sun/shadows. BW goes great with bright daylight, as you have the biggest contrast in it.
