July 13, 2015. 42 orbed memories of each year of my life in completion float around me, locking in some of the greatest joys and the greatest pain that make up my physical existence. They all have shaped me, however, they do not define me. I strive to observe them from the outside, acknowledge them, feel them touch upon me from time to time, and ultimately appreciate the beauty of them, no matter what they may store inside. They are the memories that make up the ego~ the memories of who I am, not what I am. Some are close, some are distant, some are almost wholly faded and cloudy, and there are a few that are complete mysteries. Some are palpable and stick to me, never letting me forget an event or emotion that may have separated that year from others, whether I perceived it as good or bad. Others prance around majestically as if to say, 'look at me, wasn't that a GREAT year?!' But every orb is round and exquisite and necessary~ a perfect sphere~and for every orb, I am undeniably grateful for this journey I have had.
