Location
This photo was taken from Hawk Hill, San Francisco.Time
I remember that it was an extremely cold morning, around 4:30am. I used to live about 1.5h away from that place and I had to wake up at 2am to get there on time. Boy, was it worth it...Lighting
The lighting was changing really fast. From one minute to another the same subject looked totally different. It was just breath taking.Equipment
Canon 6D, Lens Canon 24-105mm, f/4.0, tripodInspiration
I was passionate about the fog ever since I was a little girl living in Poland. I used to get up really early in the morning and go for a walk with my dad just to admire and photographed this amazing gift of nature. When I came to California for the first time in 2007 I was lucky to witness GG Bridge covered in clouds. Unfortunately in that moment I didn't have my camera with me. But I made it my mission to come back there one day and take a photo of a sunrise.Editing
I may have tweak it a little bit but no hard post-processingIn my camera bag

The most important is the time of capturing the photo. I hardly ever shoot during the day unless I have a concept that fits a bright light, mostly golden hours and very early in the morning - for the sunrise I'd advice setting up an hour before the sunrise and test every couple of minutes as the lighting changes fast.
