Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Selabih Beach, Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia. At that time I happened to be driving through the area at sunset. For lovers of landscape photography, look beautiful rocks that I then stopped and took the equipment to photograph.

Time

It was around 6pm. The sky was a bit cloudy, but I am glad to see that shiny big rocks.

Lighting

Because the sun had set and the weather was a little overcast, the current lighting is very less. I decided to take this photo of it for 10 seconds in order to get adequate lighting.

Equipment

I took this photo using a Canon EOS 60D, Tokina 11-16mm Pro-DX lense, equipped with 0.9 and 0.6 Hitech filter Soft Edge. I also use a tripod to capture images more stable.

Inspiration

I love the outdoors, especially the beach. Selabih beach is specific beach with a view of large rocks. So, I was inspired to take photos on the spot.

Editing

Yes. I'm used to take photos in RAW format. I will then adjust the white balance, highlights and shadows, clarity, contrast and colors. After that, I will resize according to the needs and sharpen the photo.

In my camera bag

If I want to go take pictures, especially the landscape, in the bag I carry a camera EOS 60D, Hitech filter, ultra wide lens Tokina 11-16 Pro-DX, Canon EF-S 10-22mm, Tripod Coman, shutter release. That's it.

Feedback

If we want to take a view of the beach at sunset, as I take it. First we should note the lighting so that we can determine the camera settings. Then specify the foreground what we will take. If the sky is interesting, specify whether you would accentuate the sky or whether the foregrounds. If the lighting is enough, take the movement of the waves for 1/4 seconds. That's nice. If the lighting is not possible, take long exposure alone. Maybe that's it. I also still have a lot to learn.
