Nice one! Is this a composite? What's creating the light on the lake? Or was the mountains/lake shot at day time?

I take this photo in Himalayas mountains (Nepal). I love travel, and Nepal is one of the most beautiful countries I have visited. I shooting this scene on Gosaikunda mountains lake, on 4400 m.Time
It was the autumn of 2014 in October. I was lucky with the phase of the moon and the sky was dark enough that a good view of the Milky Way. I started shooting around 8-pm local time and finished at around 10 pm. I took a few shots from different angles. It was very cold then - frost and cold windLighting
Night shoot difficult because of poor lighting. Besides the success of the picture often it depends on the phase of the moon. I was lucky that night, the clouds were below me, and I opened a clear sky, and the moon appeared laterEquipment
I use two cameras Nikon D750 and Nikon D5200. I like these cameras because they turn quick screen, and I often shoot with a very low angle. This photo was made with Nikon D5200 and Tokina 10-17 Fisheye lenseInspiration
I love taking pictures at night. I like to watch the stars, when I look at the night sky, I feel like a part of our universe. At night the noise and bustle and freeze it allows leisurely enjoy the beauty of our worldEditing
Yes i post-processing this photo in Lightroom. I made a shade lighter, correct white balance, contrast and clarity. Also i correct the noise - becose i shoting in high ISOIn my camera bag
I use two cameras Nikon D750 and Nikon D5200. I like these cameras because they turn quick screen, and I often shoot with a very low angle. On my Nikon D750 (full-frame) i use lense: travel zoom Nikkor 28-300, wide angle Nikon 17-35, fisheye Nikon 16 mm. On my Nikon D5200 (crop) i use lense: travel zoom Nikkor 18-200, wide angle Tokina 11-16, fisheye Tokina 10-17 mm. I mountains use very light weight tripod Slik Pro mini II, and Manfrotto 190 with headball on every day shotingFeedback
Travel more often - it's inspiring for new pictures. Shoot at night- it is difficult, but these pictures are unique. Go to the mountains (like the Himalayas, or others) - there is no light from the big cities, it allows you to see the crystal-clear sky. Climb high - when you are above the clouds, you are more successful moments to capture the sky. I wish you good luck! Sincerely Yours, Q-lieb-in
