Behind The Lens

Location

At a café just after having lunch in Yarra Junction, Victoria, Australia

Time

Early afternoon

Lighting

It was a bright hot day, but we were sitting in the shade under a veranda

Equipment

Nikon D90 and just my kit lens 18-55mm

Inspiration

My daughter was very relaxed and just posed like this naturally, so I grabbed my camera out!

Editing

Skin smoothing and lightening and sharpening of the eyes - I also added a little gloss to the lips as they were a bit dry.

In my camera bag

As we were just on a day out - I only had my camera and kit lens. I would normally have a reflector too.

Feedback

Sometimes the best photos are those unplanned - always keep an eye open for an opportunity! In this case a relaxed model and ideal lighting.
