I have purposely uploaded this image twice - this is how the last one looked on my monitor but when I uploaded it you can see if u view the other image what was lost - in order for this to upload like it should have the first time I had to add a smidgen of exposure to add more light as suggested by Louise - so those of you wondering what if any effect uploading has to an image (and maybe not all) you can look at these two side by side and see the difference - and even this is not what it appears on the monitor bec some of the background detail is still lost although more visible - I had this printed by a custom lab and the detail is there - anyway just a point of info for consideration by those wishing for subtle detail to show in an upload

Well, all the smidges worked. This is glorious! Spooky and nothing short of great!

Oh I know for a fact that uploading to Viewbug can/does change some photos! There is a definite difference in the light for sure - I like them both though!

VB has told me they decrease resolution to save space - that tells the story!

I don't think you want me to say this but I like the other one better. The lighting is very dramatic in both, of course, but I like the one with less light even tho it doesn't show us the whole picture. Very well done, Dennis.

I like the hint of trees and what looks like more logs in the background...

I totally see what you mean .. I have had to remove shots when I have uploaded them as they come out too dark on this site .. this is a great composition though as is the other copy .. its a shame the reproduction on this site is reduced
