Location
I took this photo in litle valley in Hvalfjordur (whale fjord) in IcelandTime
13:50Lighting
there were a litle hard light just above the waterfall, so it needed some filters to dark the sky a litle bit.Equipment
Canon 5D Mark II Canon EF 16-35mm USM L f/2,8 Tripod LEE Big stopper LEE soft grad 0,9 Remote controllerInspiration
I have been thinking about this waterfall for a long time, when I was young boy I often went with my parents for a picnik near this waterfall, so I wanted to take picture of this waterfall in black and white, on time so I would get the softened in the water. Lot of happy memories from this awsome place.Editing
I sharpened the photo put it in black and white took some spots that came from water splashes on the filtersIn my camera bag

Just exsperiment, be patient, wait for the right light, take with you warm clothes and good shoes that is ok to get wet, you have to have a good tripod, and a good rag so you can dry of the filters or the lense. Take lot of pictures with different settings, that is nothing worse than being home after long day with your camera, and you notis in your computer that you should have taken this picture in some other way than you did,, often you don´t get the moment again, at least for a long time. this picture is taken in 30 sek but if you don´t have a 10 stop filter you have to take it in shorter time. it is good to have a remote controller so you don´t move the camera when you take the picture, if you don´t have a remote controller you can alway put the camera on selftimer, so when you push the button you have few sek to take your hand of. And always have fun,
