Your technique is extremely good, Larry - the exposure time is spot on to get the circles of light on the windmills.

I live near hundred of windturbines in Colorado, have never seen them go this fast, pretty cool.

Colors, leading lines, and subject all make for a fabulous capture! Wonderful work!

Very cool

They say all this windmills have changed the jet stream and how it moves. Global warming seems and living green have impacted the earth in a bad way. I will be interested to see future studies on how these wind turbines impact the earth after a couple of decades. Although it does not take away the beauty of the phototure. Awesome shot.

I took this of a photographer friend of mine taking a picture of the Polouse Falls in eastern WA

I took this just outside Barker dam in Joshua Tree National Park.

I took this late at night and lit the barn with my headlight flashlight.

I took this around midnight. I used my IPhone to light up the kale.

I took this in my backyard while my kids were watching a movie.

I stopped along side the road and took this photo. The man that owned the property was very social and talked to my friend and I for about a half hour

Took this near my home on a foggy morning.

I was in Seattle on the Puget Sound and decided to take some night shots.

This is from the original ferry dock that went from Mercer Island to Seattle

Lighting

There was a power plant next to the wind mills that was a source of light.

Equipment

Nikon d300 with a 12 to 24mm lens. With a tripod Electronic shutter release.

Inspiration

I love night photography and saw the wind mills from highway 10 .I found a back road that paralleled the highway. Shortly after I started taking my photos two trucks came racing up to me. A couple guys jumped out and asked me what I was doing. I let them know I was just taking photos. I thought they were going to kick. me out but they just told me not to go past the fence where the power plant was. I thought to myself... duh, like I was going to go play on the power plant. I kept shooting for awhile and this was my best shot.

I just use my tripod with a electronic shutter release. In the old days, with film, night photography was some what of a crap-shoot. Now take a photo at night and you can see your results right away. I still bracket and take lots of photos.
